Angola: Culture Ministry Mourns Death of Writer Alda Do Espírito Santo

Luanda — Angola Culture Ministry in a message to Angop, here, laments the death of Sao Tome's writer Alda do Espírito Santo, victim of illness.

In the document is also read that Alda do Espírito Santo, through the singing rhythm and melody of Sao Tome and Principe, preserved, valued and consecrated the cultural values of her Mother Land.

The author of Sao Tome and Principe, Alda dos Espírito Santo created the first generation of journalist in her country and Sao Tome Writers Union. Born in April 1926, Alda do Espírito Santo, also known as Alda Graça, is an emblematic figure of Sao Tome and Principe war of independence.
