Somalia: Clannish War Kills Two People

At least two people have been killed and more others have been wounded in parts of Mudug region after two clan militias fought there, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Wednesday.

Reports say that the fighting started at Amara and Ba'adweyn villages in Mudug region as two rival clan forces that recently fought there clashed once again in parts of the region killing two people, wounding several others there in north Somalia.

On of the residents whom Shabelle had contacted through the telephone told Shabelle radio that the fighting continued for a while pointing out that he also saw the bodies of two people.

The clash between the two Somali militias comes there had been calls to halt the violence between them in the region.
