Tunisia: 'Texmed Tunisia 2010' to Attract Some 3000 Professionals

Tunis — Organised by the Tunisian Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX), the National Textile Federation (FENATEX) and the Textile Technical Center (CETTEX), Tunisia will host from June 16 to 18, the 11 th edition of the Euro-Mediterranean Garment Exhibition, "Texmed Tunisia 2010", at the El Kram Exhibition Hall, north of Tunis.

Covering an area of 10, 000 square meters, "Texmed Tunisia 2010" is expected to bring together 250 international exhibitors from Tunisia, Italy, Belgium, Syria, Turkey, UK, Morocco and France and attract about 3000 professional visitors namely professional sourcing decision-makers and buying groups, department stores, importers and distributors.

The 3 day event, will be an opportunity to boost trade relations, develop trade and industrial investments, reinforce business and partnership between companies of the Euromed zone, consolidate TEXMED previous editions' results on the targeted markets, extend target markets so as to include countries such as the Scandinavian countries, African countries, and target the big European brands.

"Texmed Tunisia 2010" will offer a range of clothing (subcontracting, co-contracting, and finished product), fabrics, accessories, technology and services.

B to B meetings, workshops, daily Fashion shows showcasing the collections of the main Tunisian companies, sseminars, fashion fairs and "TEXMED Awards" are on the agenda of the event.

Tunisia is among Europe's top suppliers in the textile sector; it ranks 5 th in garment, 2 nd in lingerie, swimwear and professional clothing, 3 rd in jeans, 4 th in pants and 5th in ready-to -wear clothes.
