Eritrea: Mendefera School of Associate Nurse Providing Educational Opportunities to 180 Students

Mendefera — As part of endeavors to expand health services along with skilled manpower, the Mendefera School of Associate Nurse is providing educational opportunities to about 180 students, stated Mr. Bereket Fesehaye, director of the school.

He explained that the students are from the Warsay-Yikaalo School in Sawa and the Eritrean Institute of Technology in Mai-Nefhi. Mr. Bereket further pointed out that additional classrooms are under construction so as to expand the school.

Noting that the course ranges from one year to a year and half, he commended the dedication the students are demonstrating and called on them to further enhance their dedication and achieve academic excellence. The students on their part asserted that they would live up to the nation's expectations.

The Mendefera School of Associate Nurse which was established in 2004 has so far graduated over 500 students in diploma and certificate.
