Angola: Media Ministry Regrets Death of São Tomean Nationalist

Luanda — The Ministry of Social Communication regretted through a message on Wednesday the death of disease of the São Tomean writer and nationalist, Alda do Espírito Santo, on Tuesday in Luanda.

In a message, the media minister, Carolina Cerqueira, on behalf of her Ministry highlighted Alda do Espírito Santo, who was going to turn 84 years of age in April this year, having made a contribution to the cause of the Sao Tomean and African people.

Carolina Cerqueira also highlighted Alda do Espírito Santo's contribution together with Amílcar Cabral, in the boosting of the African Studies Centre in Portugal and struggle for the independence of her country.

Therefore, the Minister of Social Communication, on behalf of the professionals of her sector, bent towards the memory of the deceased woman and addresses to the São Tomean Government and people, as well as the mourning family, her heartfelt sympathy.
