Somalia: Gunman Kills Two Civilians in Mudug Region

Somalia — A gunman has shot and killed at least two civilians at Gara'ad district in Mudug region north Somalia, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Thursday night.

Reports say that the two deceased people were two young teenagers and the armed man was reportedly escaped from the spot where he shot at the two people.

It is unclear the real aim that the man had murdered the teenagers, but witnesses said that they were from the region.

More troops from the semi-autonomous region of Puntland for the district were reportedly reached at the scene instantly shortly after killing action happened and took the bodies of the civilians.

Locals said that the troops made search operations, but did not achieve to seize the murderer yet.

Most of the people in the district had expressed surprise about the killing the two Somali teenagers at Gara'ad district in the region and it is yet unclear who were behind the action.
