Luanda — The former Angolan football player Osvaldo Saturnino Oliveira "Jesus" will get honour on Thursday in Accra, Ghana, by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for his contribution to the development of football internally and internationally, reads the website of the continent's soccer governing body.

Beside the Angolan, who played for Petro de Luanda and Varzim FC of Portugal, CAF will pay homage to former players as Abedi Pelé, Anthony Baffoe, Anthony Yeboah, Abdul Karim Razak, Ibrahim Sunday all from Ghana and the Algerian Ali Fergani.

The homage includes coaches, managers and players who were on the limelight in the past year like Samuel Eto'o from Cameroon, Didier Drogba Cote D'Ivore, the Nigerians Emmanuel Sani and Ibrahim Sunday and Dominic Adiyiah from Ghana.

Sellas Tetteh coach of Ghana under-20 national team and the Nigeria under 17 John Obuh were also honoured. Jesus played for Petro de Luanda for more than 10 years and won many titles on Girabola (Angolan National Championship) and one as a coach. He also played for Varzim of Portugal.
