Tunis — The Seventh Conference of Arab Ministers of Education closed today in the Omani capital, Muscat.
The event focused on themes dealing with "Post-basic education, reforms and setting up of its streams".
The two-day conference was hosted by the Ministry of Education in Oman and was organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).
The conference provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and to discuss education related issues among Arab countries. It also aims at enhancing education in the Arab world.
Accordingly, the conference looked at ways to improve secondary education and link it with the technical and vocational education to meet requirements of the labor market in Arab countries.
Participants also reviewed studies on the current educational situation in the Arab world and the different models of secondary education around the world.
