Nigeria: FCTA to Enforce Building Code on Abuja Structures

Henceforth, all structures in the Federal Capital Territory must meet the standard of the National Building Code.The FCT Minister, Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero said this on Wednesday while receiving the President of the Nigerian Institute of Building that paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The Minister therefore directed the FCT Department of Development Control to ensure full compliance.Senator Aliero disclosed that all categories of buildings including public, commercial, individual residential houses or mass housing projects are affected with this directive.
