Cameroon: Oil Search Goes to Elombo Block

Cameroon yesterday signed a production sharing contract worth 20 million dollars with the Perenco group.

The State, through the National Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH), yesterday indicated its continuous zeal to search for oil in the nation's potential oil basins as part of implementation of the December 1999 law instituting the Petroleum Code. The commitment was translated at one of the ceremonial halls of SNH when Adolphe Moudiki, Executive General Manager of the corporation and François Perrodo, president of Perenco S.A.Group, signed a Production Sharing Contract for oil exploration in the Elombo block (former Ebodje permit) situated offshore in the Douala/Kribi-Campo basin.
