Angola: Health Minister Appeals for More Attention to Children

Saurimo — The Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, on Tuesday in Cacolo, eastern Lunda Sul Province, appealed to the professionals of the sector to pay more attention to women and children.

According to the minister, there should be a clear understanding by the professional of the sector towards children and women ready to conceive, by giving them a special attention in accordance with the various services that the Ministry intends to offer to this target groups.

José Van-Dúnem advised the women to seize the opportunities that the state give, since it has been working hard to secure a better health for these target groups.

The health minister said that one of the biggest concerns of the Angolan government for the health sector is to reduce the maternal and infant mortality.

To José Van-Dúnem, with the unity of health employees, coupled with the guidelines of the administration entities, will manage to secure a better health for the population.
