Tunis — With a view to disseminate "exchange culture" among young leaders, the Tunis Stock Exchange organized on February 18 in collaboration with the Center of Young Leaders of Tunisia, a seminar destined for young leaders in the governorate of Jendouba.

Inaugurated by Mr. Mohamed Bichiou, the Director General of the Tunis Stock Exchange, the seminar was an opportunity for participants and young leaders to present mechanisms of funding through the finance market for small and medium enterprises (SME) and to showcase the benefits and the role of "listing sponsors".

On the sidelines of the event, the Director General of the Algiers Stock Exchange and the Secretary General of the Planning Board and Exchange Supervisory Operations (COSOB), conducted a working visit to the Tunis Stock Exchange, February on 24, 2010.

The visit focused on Tunisia's experience in the alternative market dedicated to SME financing, ways of setting up the alternative market, and the role of stakeholders and the mechanisms of bond rating.

Algerian officials also discussed with their Tunisian counterparts ways to boost cooperation between Tunisian and the Algerian bourses.
