Clashes between the Islamist forces of Hisbul Islam and armed militias exchanged gunfire in out of Beled-weyn town of Hiran region, official told Shabelle on Sunday.
Mo'alim Mohamed Sheikh Abdi, head of operations of Hisbul Islam administration in Hiran region told Shabelle radio that the fighting broke out between their fighters and other armed gunmen in out of Beled-weyn town in central Somalia adding that they had achieved to chase them and removed several checkpoints from the area.
The official said that the forces of the administration conducted operations in parts of the region recently specially the streets to assure the security saying that they killed one of the armed group wounding another as violence between the sides continued in out of the town of Hiran region.
The clash between the Islamist fighters of Hizbul Islam administration in Hiran region and the armed gunmen comes as there had been insecurity and banditry actions in parts of the region in central Somalia.
