Menongue — Angola's Home deputy minister for Civil Protection and Fire Brigade, Eugénio Laborinho, on Thursday moved to Kuito Kuanavale district, southern Kuando Kubango province, to assess the consequences of the heavy rains hitting the region, Angop has learnt.
The official and his team will visit an area in which a ravine hindered the traffic between Menongue/Kuito and Kuanaval and Mavinga, under repair works. Other seven areas with ravines in Kuito Kuanavale will also be visited. There are many displaced people, destroyed residences and other infrastructures.
Angop got informed that after the survey on the situation, there will be outlined more comprehensive plan to support the displaced people.
