Somalia: Islamists Continue Destroying Illegal Building in Barder Town

The Islamic administration of Bardere town in Gedo region has started destroying several illegal building in the town in southern Somalia, witnesses told Shabelle radio on Sunday.

Reports say that the forces of the Islamic administration ordered to the fighters to wipe out more buildings in the town as the administration pointed out those buildings were totally unlawful ones.

About 30 houses which were including cottages and other buildings that more people were homing about 19 years were demolished.

Abdullahi Abdi Dahir, head of the security of Bardere town told reporters that their operations of destroying buildings were aimed to equalize and keep the rights of the people and to give every person's properties there.

Reports indicate that there been case on dispute of the areas destroyed that continued for several months which lastly the court ordered the people lived in the areas to leave with in a month as many people claimed the ownership of the land.

Some of the people ordered to leave there houses said that the land was desert as they were reside there.
