Angola: Cultural Agents Attend Theatre Seminar in Malanje

Malanje — Angolan cultural agents, with stress to 15 groups, are attending since Monday in northern Malanje province, the second provincial seminar on theatre, sponsored by the local Government.

Going until March 27, the event is aimed at upgrading the theatre groups on stagy arts. The event that will tackle several concerning topics, is part of the celebrations of the World Theatre Day, March 27.

The seminar is being lectured by actor, Virgílio José António, who considered the event as opportune as it is important for the improvement and increment of the art.

In his turn, Malanje acting governor, Gaspar Neto, said the provincial Government intends to make of theatre an art of reference, developing in all its components, hence the need for annual such event. The first provincial seminar on theatre in Malanje took place in March 2009.
