Tunisia: State to Host Regional Meeting of Digital Culture

Tunis — On the occasion of the celebration of "2010 International Youth Year", the Essef Association for the Dissemination of Digital Culture organizes from March 19 to 21, the 5 th edition of the Regional Meeting of Digital Culture under the motto "International Youth Year". The event is scheduled to take place at the Ksour Essef cultural center, in Mahdia.

Several associations including the Tunisian Internet Agency (ATI), the Digital solidarity association of Nabeul (ASNN), "Tunisie Telecom" as well as the Tunisian Posts, will take part in the event.

The program includes a baccalaureate forum in computer science and safety information and presentations of digital productions, electronic trade as well as a forum on heritage preservation and national identity.

Workshops for the setting up of 7 websites for institutions, schools in Mahdia , and Mahdia's Junior Economic Chamber, are also on the agenda of the event.

In addition to the presentation of the interactive digital whiteboard and the scheduling of an open Internet Day, as well as the allocation of a session dedicated to the baccalaureate computer program in which various materials on the Internet and exam samples will be provided.

The Essef Association of the Dissemination of Digital Culture is a digital cultural and scientific association founded in 2005.

In an interview to "TUNISIAONLINENEWS", the association's chairman Mr. Hisham Bin Fadl said that the Association is working to disseminate digital culture and encourage the use of modern technology to create a generation of creative web users that will have the skills to enable the development of human resources and train young people in the knowledge economy.

In recent years, "the Essef Association of the Dissemination of Digital Culture" has attempted to strengthen cooperation between local and global associations, institutions and university research centers, in the sector of modern digital technology, as well as to promote a digital content industry.
