Eritrean Association of Contractors and Electrical Engineering Consultants Conducts Annual Congress

Asmara — The Eritrean association of contractors and electrical engineering consultants conducted its annual congress yesterday at the Eritrean Chamber of Commerce.

The chairman of the association, Eng. Mulugeta Gerezgher, indicated that the association established in 1999 has already set up its own office and is striving to expand activities.

He further highlighted the need for giving due attention to the association on the part of the Ministry of Energy and Mines as it plays major role in providing professional advice to the public across the country.

The participants of the congress adopted a number of resolutions and recommendations including the need for organizing skill-upgrading training programs, electrical engineering consultants to foster close relations with the Eritrean Electricity Corporation and the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

The association's future plan focuses on organizing all contractors and consultants who own work permits to be members of the association, conducting discussion on formulating regular electric lines installation draft and enabling members to work in group in a given office, among others.
