Luanda — The Angolan r&b singer Paul G is among the semi-finalists for the 2010 edition of the Kora Awards, competing for the Best Singer of Southern Africa, whose winners will be announced on April 4, in Ouagadougu City, Burkina Faso.
With the song "Freaking me out" from the "Transition" album, the Angolan musician is contesting for the prize along with two South African artists, one from Zambia and one from Botswana.
Speaking to ANGOP, the artist expressed his delight in representing Angola in the contest, which annually awards prizes to the best African music acts. To vote for the Angolan singer, the public need to send a message by calling +248984000. Paul G became famous in the music scene in the 1990s as a member of the Angolan rap group SSP.
