Tunisia: Country to Host Pan- African Postal Conference "Technopost Africa 2010"

Tunis — From March 16 to 18, Tunisia will host the works of the Pan-African Technology Conference on the "Role of Information and Communication Technologies in the Modernization and Prosperity of African Posts" (TECHNOPOST AFRICA 2010).

Organized by the Tunisian Posts, in collaboration with the Pan African Postal Union and the Universal Postal Union, the event will bring together managers and high-level officials of postal companies from over 30 African and European countries, officials of international institutions (Universal Postal Union and Pan African Postal Union) and business leaders operating in the sector of IT solutions and ICTs.

Participants will focus on advances made and prospects for electronic products and applications.

The event aims at exchanging technological innovations in postal and electronic financial products and services, experiences and good practices of different countries in various sectors related mostly to the postal strategy for the integration of ICTs, contribution of the posts to the development of postal and financial electronic services, e-trade and multichannel communication.

On the fringes of the "TECHNOPOST AFRICA 2010", an exhibition of technological solutions and applications related to the postal and financial activity developed by Tunisian private operators in the sector of ICT, will also be held.

The exhibition will promote and export Tunisian digital products and solutions to participating countries, namely African countries.

One to one meetings to help officials of postal institutions meet managers of Tunisian companies operating in the sector of ICT, exchange information and create new partnership relations, are also on the agenda of the event.
