Nigeria: Education Varsity Denies Loss of Students' Lives

Ado-Ekiti — The University of Education, Ikere-Ekiti (TUNEDIK) has denied allegations that the institution lost several students to the recent controversy surrounding the relocation of the university.

Addressing newsmen in Ifaki Ekiti, the temporary site of the university, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele described the rumour that students were withdrawing from the institution as callous and unfounded, saying that none of its 500 pioneer students had left the school for other institutions, despite the crisis surrounding its location.
