A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bar.Halima Alfa yesterday called on former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida to contest for the Presidency in 2011.

Mrs. Alfa, a member of the Plateau State PDP Caretaker Committee and former National Financial Secretary of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), said Babangida has the capacity to unite the country.Alfa, who is also the National Coordinator of 'The 2011 PASS 4 IBB Group' otherwise known as 'The People Affectionately Shows Solidarity 4 IBB', said unnamed Nigerians within and outside the country were ready to encourage Babangida to come out.

She said: "We have appraised the current agitators and we have discovered that only IBB has the ability to stabilize this country. The strongest character from the north that can unite this country at least for the one term that the North has is IBB."
