Nigeria: NDE Training - 140 Graduates, Others Graduate Tomorrow

Over 140 unemployed graduates and others currently undergoing training in various skills acquisition programmes of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) will graduate tomorrow.

The programme, which includes knitting, events management and cosmetology amongst others, is falls under the directorate's job stimulus package for January to March.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Coordinator of NDE Hajiya Hadiza Bulama while conducting newsmen across various training centres said that the programme will empower unemployed graduates to stand on their as well as be job creators.

Bulama took journalists to the prestigious Chams Plc, a leading firm in information and communications technology (ICT) where 35 unemployed graduates were receiving training in ICT.

At the FCT NDE office, other beneficiaries were seen in high moods undergoing finishing touches to what they have learnt since joining the programme.

According to them, the knowledge they have acquired will not only improve their living conditions but also save them from begging as well as enable them create jobs for others.
