Golij — The construction of water reservoirs around rangelands in Golij sub-zone are making vital contribution in providing reliable drinking water to cattle without having to travel long distance, according to Mr. Zere Teklezgi, head of economic development in the sub-zone.

He pointed out that 11 water reservoirs and a micro-dam have been constructed around rangeland with a view to enabling cattle get easy access to water and pasture.

Mr. Zere further indicated that the construction of reservoirs in Sabunait and Gergef administrative areas have relieved cattle from migrating long distance for drinking water.
