Tunisia: Rich Program Ahead for Celebrations of Independence and Youth Days

Tunis — On the occasion of the celebration of the Independence Day and Youth Day, the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Physical Education, has prepared a rich program including various youth activities, cultural and artistic events at the national and regional levels.

The Sidi Hassine cultural and sports center will host on March 21, in Tunis, the first regional meeting of youth creation with the participation of members of Tunis youth clubs.

The Manouba Youth Club will organize rap competitions and extreme sports competitions and the El Menzah VI cultural center will hold on Sunday, a national day of plastic arts with the participation of 48 young plastic artists representing all the governorates of the country and 20 young painters affiliated to the El Menzah VI cultural center.

On the sidelines of the program, the 2009 Ali Balhouane President of the Republic Prize for Youth, will be awarded.

At the regional level, music festivals as well as regional festivals of artistic expression are currently held from March 13 to 28, with the participation of many member-club music, artistic expression and Western dance of youth clubs of different regions.

Other events are also on the agenda of the festivities such as the national program on "Youth and the earth" scheduled from March 22 to 27, with the participation of 240 young people , in addition to the national recreation and excursion program dubbed "The magic of the Sahara and beauty of the North" from March 16 to 21, which is destined for some 200 young people from different regions of the country.
