Liberia: Citizens Need God?s Wisdom for 2011 Elections

A prominent Liberian female gospel minister, Founder and pastor of  Potter’s House Assembly, Emma Mai Gbabo says Liberians should began seeking for God divine wisdom to enable them critically review their character and leadership capability before pledging their support to any political candidate or political party in the forth coming 2011 presidential and general elections in the country.

Speaking to this paper at her Potter’s House Assembly offices in Logan Town on Bushrod Island in Monrovia at occasion marking her birth anniversary Thursday, March 18, Pastor Emma Mai Gbabor said Liberia was gradually entering another year of political strong political atmosphere, people with political interest and political organizations have began knocking on the doors of Liberian citizens to rally their support for them to step to political powers in Liberia.

Pastor Mai indicated that the only possibility for Liberians to develop the political maturity in declaring their support for a candidate or political party is to asking God for the spirit of divine wisdom for sound and an informed decision to support a candidate of party that will take Liberia a one step further in the area of socio – economy development and an era of comparative modernize developing society of infrastructure and technology.

The charismatic and well respected nation- wide Liberian female preacher said the 2011 elections was a crucial decision making process that would decide the fate of Liberia among the comity of nations as such church leaders should by now began seeing the forth coming presidential and representatives elections as the obligation of the church to provide a divine instruction and guidance to both political parties, politicians and the electorates of 2011 elections.

According to the Full gospel preacher woman, God still see Liberia as a nation that was built on Christian principles, as such, the church and the Liberian Christian community should not relent in seeking the grace of God for the church to take over the affairs of the Liberian nation not as politician but as prophets and apostles who God continue to have his trust to providing leadership guidance to the state and correction to the Liberian society until the return of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Mai concluded by encouraging church leaders and Christians not to compromise their integrity by giving in to political parties and politicians as campaign managers and spoke persons but to see themselves as ambassadors of God who are been placed in Liberia by God to carry the Liberian nation on the shoulders of the church.
