Namibia: Nam Aid Reaches Haiti

THE Cuban medical brigade in Haiti will deliver Namibia's donation to the Haiti earthquake relief effort.

According to ISRIA news, Namibia's ambassador to Cuba, Grace Uushona, on Monday told the Haitian embassy in Havana that Namibia's aid to Haiti would be delivered by the Cuban medical brigade.

The brigade is made up of 1 512 medical professionals providing humanitarian services in Haiti.

The Namibian Government decided to contribute about N$7,4 million to help Haiti in the aftermath of January's devastating earthquake.

Prime Minister Nahas Angula said Government had decided to buy medical equipment in Cuba and donate the equipment to Haiti.
