Angola: Catholic Bishop Praises Peace Benefits for Church

Mbanza Kongo — The Diocesan Bishop of Mbanza Kongo, Northern Zaire province, Don Carlos Vicente Kiaziku, Saturday here applauded the freedom of movement in the country for the preaching of the gospel as one of the greatest gains of peace over the past eight years.

Speaking to Angop on the sidelines of the April 4, Peace and National Reconciliation Day, the cleric recalled that eight years ago, it was impossible to travel throughout the whole province due to armed conflict.
