Nigeria: Uduaghan's Peace, Security Agenda On Course, Says Onya

6 April 2010

The former youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State, Mr. Jude Onya, has said the peace and security agenda of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan's administration in the state was still on course, despite attempt by some hoodlums to derail the peace process.

Mr Onya, in a reaction to the recent bomb blast in Warri, restated the party's support for the three-point agenda of the present administration in the state. Calling for total condemnation of the dastardly act credited to the Movement for Emancipation of the Niger Delta, (MEND), Onya called on the militants to embrace dialogue as the only solution to the problem of the region.
