Nigeria: Ondo - PDP Suspends New Speaker, Whip Over Impeachment

The newly elected Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Samuel Adesina and the Whip of the Assembly, Idowu Adebusuyi have been suspended by their party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for their involvement in the impeachment of the former leaders of the Assembly.

With the axing of these two members of the PDP indication emerged, weekend, that they and two others may decamp to the ruling Labour Party, LP, this week thereby deepening the crisis in the party in the state and giving the LP the highest number in the Assembly.
