Thousands of travellers remain grounded at Cape Town International Airport after several European airports were shut down as volcanic ash, caused by an eruption in Iceland, continued to cloud airspace above the continent.
SAA spokesman Fanie Zulu said yesterday that about 30 flights to and from Cape Town, Johannesburg, London, Frankfurt and Munich were cancelled.
