Harare — Premier Auto Services, the Zimbabwean motor vehicle dealer who recently won the Jaguar Land Rover dealership, has opened state-of-the art diagnostic and service workshops for Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles along Seke Road in Graniteside.
The opening will be a welcome development to several Zimbabwean owners of Jaguar, Range Rover and Land Rover vehicles, who had resorted to driving all the way to South Africa for car maintenance and spare parts.
PAS director Mr Cosy Marimo said his company had invested immensely to ensure adherence to the very strict service standards demanded by the Jaguar Land Rover brands.
"Our workshops are equipped with highly sophisticated machinery and equally manned by highly trained technicians.
"We have spared no expense in putting in place the best equipment and workmen to make sure that our discerning customers' vehicles enjoy the best of service all the time," added Mr Marimo.
Over the past two years, the PAS team worked diligently to satisfy the very stringent requirements set by the franchise holders, Jaguar Land Rover Sub-Sahara Africa.
The return of the Jaguar Land Rover brands to Zimbabwe follows the introduction of a geographic and regional approach in vehicle marketing and distribution adopted by TATA, the new owners of Jaguar Land Rover.
In this approach, Zimbabwe is seen as a separate market from South Africa. PAS were chosen ahead of stiff competition as the company qualified to handle this most sought-after range of motor vehicles, which includes Jaguar XF, XJ, XK, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Vogue, Land Rover, Discovery, Defender and Freelander.
To showcase these vehicles, PAS have also opened a world-class showroom in the centre of Harare at the corner of Leopold Takawira Street and Samora Machel Avenue.
"We will be rolling out other showrooms and workshops in most of the major towns in Zimbabwe in the very near future," said Mr Marimo.
Since 1948, Land Rover has been manufacturing the only authentic 4x4s that represent true "breadth of capability" across model range Defender, Freelander, Discovery 4, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover defines the world 4x4 sectors.
It is reported that 75 percent of all of Land Rovers manufactured since 1948 are still on the road.
Mr Marimo said their partnership would bring to Zimbabwe Jaguar cars, one of the world's manufacturers of luxury sedans, and sports cars with a philosophy of creating beautiful fast cars for the modern world.

This is a joke, right?
Thank goodness people now have a place to spend their excess money. This is great!
These are probably cars swiped from South Africa and being flogged in Zimbabwe at an affordable price otherwise who can afford such cars except the top thieving Zimbabwean Malema's "bastaaad (s)."
