Arusha — On a recent Monday evening at the Gymkhana Club, a crowd of young tennis players and their supporters cheered as names were called and players came forward to receive trophies. It was the conclusion of Gymkhana's annual youth tournament.
More than 50 players had participated, and 174 matches had been played. The final names were called and a hush fell over the crowd. One match remained: the boys 18-and-under championship.
