Ghana: Manual to Assist Women Participate Effectively in Decision Making Launched

Women's rights advocates have said that women's participation in politics and decision-making at all levels is imperative for Ghana's democracy. They advised that women should try as much as possible to address issues that will lead to poverty reduction irrespective of their party affiliation.

Speaking at the launch of a training manual entitled "Women in Leadership: A Training Manual for Assembly Women and Women Leaders", Country Director for ActionAid Ghana, Ms Adwoa Kwateng Kluvitse, said that, "If we are able to get competent women faces into high places it will augur well for the promotion of women's rights."
