South Africa: Sweden, SA Sign Social Investment Initiative

Johannesburg — THE Swedish Trade Council on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Trade and Industry that will create a platform for Swedish multinational companies operating in SA to participate in broad-based black economic empowerment.

The Transformation Initiative, announced on Friday, will be an independently managed vehicle through which companies can channel their investments into black economic empowerment projects.
