Nigeria: Ican Tasks Members On Health Financing

Owerri — Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) have been charged to advise financial institutions in the country to include health care financing in their corporate packaging, as this would assist government to cater for the overall health care needs of the people.

The call is coming as Nigeria had been identified as one of the countries lacking in institutional healthcare financing hence its average life expectancy stands at 45 years as against 77 years in United States of America and Europe.
