Uganda: Central Africans Kill LRA Rebels

Kampala — Villagers at Guerekindo in eastern Central African Republic killed two Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels in self-defence, the Red Cross in the nearby M'boki town reported on Monday.

"The rebels attacked the village at around 4:00pm on Friday last week when most of the residents were returning from work.

Alerted by those who fled, men armed with knives, bows and arrows and guns, organised a counter-attack," the agency said. Two rebels were killed and others injured in the fight.
