Nigeria: Children's Day - Jonathan Vows to Tackle Infant Mortality

Abuja — As Nigeria joined the rest of the world in celebrating Children's Day, President Goodluck Jonathan said his administration is partnering with food manufacturing industries to ensure food fortification with essential micro nutrients.

He also said tackling malnutrition in the country, especially in children, would contribute immensely to reducing high maternal and child mortality phenomenon, as well as, the achievement of MDGs stated targets on infant mortality.
