Abuja — As the country celebrated childrens' day yesterday, President Goodluck Jonathan said the high rate of orphaned children put at 17.5 million posed a major challenge to the three tiers of government.
This is coming as the Representative of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) in Nigeria, Dr Suomi Sakai, said it was working with state governments in a bid to scale up action and ensure that the high burden of malnutrition of Nigerian children was brought under control.
