Africa: Morocco Ambassador Praises Morocco's Contribution for Africa Liberation

Rabat — The Angolan ambassador and dean of the diplomatic corps in Rabat; Luis de Almeida, on Tuesday highlighted the "important role" played by Morocco Kingdom during the liberation struggle of african countries against colonialism.

Addressing a ceremony marking the Africa Day (May 25), the angolan diplomat stated that, by celebrating the date for the first time in the Hashemite Kingdom, the african nations wanted to assert that they did not forget that Morocco was among the founders of the Organization of African Unity (ancestor to Africa Union), in 1963.
