Before they got to the victim's house, the robbers had fled. But they saw a shell of a bullet on the ground. A woman was assaulted by the robbers, he said.
Soon after, he heard another gunshot at a street nearby, followed by distress calls. On getting to the scene, a lady said her phone and N25,000 had been snatched, and that one of the robbers, who wore a black shirt with white stripes, pointed a gun at her head.
The first victim also gave a similar description, as well as a third victim who claimed she was robbed the same night in the same community.

Thats the Nigerian Police for you. I had this experience recently when i followed a friend to a police station to report a case of burglary to his house in ota area of Ogun state. I was shocked when a female IPO demanded for some thousands of naira to do the investigation and filing of reports. We left in anoyance and never return there again. The police like most sectors is rotten. Visit the stations and you will see what I mean. The popular believe is that armed robbers rarely operates in an area without conivance with some unscrupulous police officer. The police reform should begin now and a more efficient recruitment procedure and better welfare package (probably not in the hand of their glutonous and rapacious bosses) is crucial for a functional police force. Remeber a trained police man is difficult to disengage from service ortherwise you will be unleashing terror on the society.
