TEAMS campaigning in the Namibian Premier League (NPL) First Division have thrown the beleaguered second-tier football league into further turmoil as they failed to show up for their scheduled matches.
Only one of the scheduled 12 matches was played in the Northern Stream, and the first leg of the playoffs in the Southern Stream between Fedics United and Blue Boys was completed amidst controversy. The third and fourth place playoff match, to be contested by Friends FC and Tura Magic, never happened.
