Nigeria: Poison Tragedy - Zamfara Approves N240 Million for Rapid Response

The Zamfara Government has approved N240 million for rapid response towards controlling the outbreak of lead poison which killed 163 people in Anka and Bukkuyum Local Government Areas of the state..

The Federal Ministry of Health had on Friday in Abuja released a report which indicated that 163 deaths out of 353 cases of lead poison, emanating from mining activities were recorded in the two local government areas.
