Nigeria: 'How to Curb Harsh Effects of Climate Change'

Gombe — Concerned about the effects of the climate on the environment, the Chairman, Edo State Tourism Board, Hon Aanena Jemitola, has stressed the need for an increase in tree planting activities as major means of curbing the accumulation of green house gases and threat to the healthy living conditions of Nigerians, particularly in the face of the impending doom that advocates of global warming have been saying that will envelop the human race.

Jemitola, who spoke while flagging off Tree Planting campaign in Ososo town of Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State under the auspices of the Foundation Jemitola said that increased plant production was a major key to halt climate change in any community.
