Nigeria: Impeachment - Bayelsa Deputy Governor May Head for Court

Yenagoa — Impeachment process against the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state, Peremobowei Ebebi, is expected to begin today at the State House of Assembly as the constitutional seven days notice given to him expired yesterday.

Ebebi , who was expected to have thrown-in his resignation letter, is said to be heading for the courts as he has not been officially served with the impeachment notice as required by the constitution.
