Nigeria: Abia Assures Non-Indigenous Teachers of Job Security

Umuahia — Abia State government has assured non-indigenous teachers in the state that they would not be sacked, following the anxiety caused by the sack of teachers from the state in neighbouring states.

Governor Theodore Orji, who gave the assurance in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Electronic Media, Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue, confirmed that many teachers from the state were recently sacked by some states in Southeast and South-south.
