South Africa: Worldspace May Aim for SA Radio Market Again

Johannesburg — WORLDSPACE, a US-based satellite radio provider, plans to relaunch its services in SA if a bid by former chairman Noah Samara to buy the company is approved.

WorldSpace filed for bankruptcy protection in 2008 after repeated failures to meet debt obligations. Its satellite radio broadcasts were available in the US, Europe, Africa and Asia.
