Nigeria: Military Opens 'Jos for Peace' World Cup Viewing Centres

The Military Special Task Force (STF) on Jos crises has opened eight world cup viewing centres for Jos and Bukuru residents.STF Media Officer, Lt. Col. Kingsley Umoh, who formally unveiled the centres in Jos on Monday, said the centres were part of efforts to ensure a lasting peace in Jos.

Umoh also said that the centres were part of the contributions of STF to the peace-building process.He said that the initiative was meant to unite residents and take their minds away from the crises that were usually aggravated at the slightest provocation.
