The Ona of Abaji and Chairman of the FCT Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, at the weekend pleaded with the management of National Teachers Institute (NTI), Kaduna, over plans to close down the institute's Abaji study centre.
Alhaji Yunusa said the decision by NTI's management to close down thestudy centre will have adverse effects on indigenes of the council area, adding that the centre has been encouraging people in the area to acquire teaching skills, especially married women.
