Eritrea: Animal Vaccination Campaign Carried Out in Gash-Barka Region

Barentu — Extensive animal vaccination campaign has been undertaken in Gash-Barka region with a view to promoting animal health and controlling diseases, according to Dr. Teklezgi Tekie, in charge of veterinary service in the Agriculture Ministry's branch in the region.

He indicated that the program was carried out in the sub-zones of Molqi, Shambuko, Laelai-Gash, Golij and Barentu which are rich in livestock resource. More than 460,000 cattle received vaccines through the campaign, according to reports.
